Global Volunteers' works with children at Assisi Illam, Grace School, Seam's Children's Home and St. Joseph in Chennai, India. We strive to provide a better childhood for these children who have been abandoned, orphaned or are from families simply too poor to care for them. The children that call these centers home do not have much, in fact, their bare necessities are just barely being met. Your monthly sponsorship donation will help provide these children with the support they need year round even when we can't send volunteers.

Our hosts have created lists, priority lists, of what they need financial assistance with to secure in 2013, click here to see the complete optional donations list. By becoming a monthly, classroom sponsor you will help secure what they have identified as needs and give these children a hope for a brighter future. Monthly sponsorship donations are used for ongoing support, project money and purchasing notebooks, uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, paint for classrooms, locker boxes and other educational materials and painting and other renovations as well as Sprinkles - micro-nutrient supplementation packets.
