China is both a land of mystery and an archeological and cultural wonder. Western people often have a broad range of perceptions of China, both positive and negative, based on the vast cultural, political, and geographical history of China. Despite all that we have read and heard about this country, that one-fifth of the world's population calls home, few Westerners have had the opportunity to talk with the children of China about their dreams for the future. Fewer yet have had the chance to work alongside Chinese people to help make the dreams of those children come true.
But now you can! You can help these children make their dreams come true and realize the fullness of their potential.
Global Volunteers local hosts are the Teachers Education University in Kunming, and several university and secondary schools in Xi’an.
Your much needed contribution to the China General Program Fund will go towards the priorities our hosts have identified as critical for their ongoing development.
