St. Lucia in the West Indies is one of the world's most beautiful islands, with its crystal-blue bays, soft beaches, and mountain vistas. Only the warmth of its hospitable and welcoming people exceeds the island's exotic lure. Yet, amidst this tropical paradise, children face serious nutrition, health and education challenges.
Over 30 percent of the island's people live in poverty. Recent global research shows that insufficient nutrition and persistent parasitic and diarrheal disease in developing countries like St. Lucia adversely impacts children's brain development, especially in the earliest years. Generations are affected, resulting in entire populations who struggle to develop their human potential.
However, by making a tax deductible donation to the St. Lucia General Progam Fund you can make a difference in the lives of the people in this community and break the cycle of poverty! Your donation will go towards providing nutritional supplementation, soap and soap dispensers, medical supplies, tools and instruments and playground toys and equipment.
