For many children throughout the world, having access to a variety of books and having a quiet place where they can read and immerse themselves in a story is a distant dream. However, that dream can be made a reality.
SEAMS Children's Home is one of Global Volunteers' Host Partners in India. Recently the government of India has made it a requirement of all of the children's homes in India to have a library. As a result, Global Volunteers is working in partnership with SEAMS to raise the money to build a library and give these deserving children access to the ideas and stories found in a library filled with books as well as computers, printers, desks and chairs, all essentials for a fully functional library. These children need a place to learn, to study to grow or just to escape the harsh reality of their world.
By contributing to the SEAMS Library Fund you will help open the door of possibilities to children that didn't know it could be opened. Donations made to this fund will go towards keeping the library functional by updating written materials, replacing old and worn furniture, computers and printers and supplying fictional stories and books for children of all ages as well as internet connection.
